If you’re going to race across county, you need to know how to fix a bike. A tuned bike gives you that extra speed you need in the straits and stay upright on the sharp bends. And if you breakdown out in the mountains, then it’s a long walk back if you can’t make the repair by the roadside. Rose has been working and upgrading her bike for so long now that there probably isn’t an original part left. This is her second bike for the transcontinental tour. Her first bike went off a cliff a couple of years back when she slipped on some ice. Rose only just avoided following it.
28 Heroines
RPG character inspiration for each day in February. Heroines with personality, depth and a problem to resolve.
The transcontinental tour takes three months, going from ocean to ocean in a series of three day stages. The rest of the year Rose runs an auto repair shop in Liberty City. In love with bikes from when she was old enough to ride them, she adores the freedom of the open road. She came third is last year’s race, her highest finish so far. The race starts again in a month and Rose is spending her evenings pouring over old maps, trying to find trails that will get her ahead. She knows her bike is good enough for a top ten finish if she sticks to the main roads but victory could be in her grasp with just a few saved miles.
