Patrick Growlington
The bear seen before you
Has made rhyme his purview
built quite large and hairy
With a growl most scary
From the forest of Lar
he has travelled far
Seeking worthy stories
And outlandish glories
Enchanted steel chainmail
Wit and claws to assail
A cloak against the rain
An intellect urbane
A fighting bear
A poet bear

Jack O’Jack
Those that follow the Way of the Wave are wont to float where the ocean takes them. The way teaches fluidity for adaptation and depth for acceptance. Jack O’Jack is a graduate of the Blue School with five waves to their credit. Having cast their fate with the current, he will eventually return there when the current deems it fit. For now the otter seeks to learn the wisdom of fighting and the strength of thought through travels and adventures.

Krackel Watts
The best shiny things are other people’s shiny things so it’s entirely right to make them your shiny things. And Krackel is very good at getting shiny things, be it a picked pocket, an opened lock, or a quick bit of lying. But there’s all the people who get upset about not having their shiny things, as if it’s Krackel’s fault they don’t take better care of them. So Krackel has to keep moving and find some new friends and maybe a new place to sleep, maybe a new place that isn’t damp when it rains.

Orin Koric
Many have heard of Orin Kovic, seventh son of the seventh Duke of Slithe. This is a serpent of taste they say, the refined gentlesnake’s ideal of a gentlesnake. Having established himself in the field of hunting things and the cuisine of eating them, Orin is travelling the wider world in pursuit of more things to hunt and new ways to cook them. He is writing a book about his travels and has become aware that it lacks an engaging narrative. Wanting to move the memoir beyond a list of hunts and recipes, Orin is looking for one of these quests things he’s heard rumours of.

Misha Gardener
They say if you’re in an unfamiliar place, it’s useful to find yourself a guide. Misha, snow druid of the boreal forests, has taken this many steps further and has taken a human as a familiar. Frank, previously an unemployed farm labourer, provides services beyond having dexterous opposable thumbs, such as how to navigate cities and farmlands. Misha has journeyed from the boreal forests as the forest spirits have informed her that there is a greater evil approaching and that she will be needed far from home. Unfortunately, the spirits didn’t indicate where or when, so Misha’s been travelling for a while.

Pauline Islador Ninatira Saradesh “PINS” Vaught
Pins is the first of her family to attend mage school. Pins is the first of her province to attend Highcraft’s Magical Academy. Pins had to work very very hard to earn her scholarship and has had to work very very hard to keep up the grades needed to keep the scholarship. Pins is the first of her family to flee screaming into the night when she overslept and missed a critical end of term exams. Pins is working very very hard at running as far as she can, so that perhaps she can find somewhere where her shame won’t find her.

Sister Astasia de Luna
The Blue Goddess of the Clear Sky suffers not suffering. Her acolytes travel all lands to give healing and guidance to those in need. Sister Astasia is one such believer and it will be a dark day indeed if her courage ever fails. Her commitment to the tenets of the Blue Goddess are absolute but she is worldly enough to recognise the rights of others to believe differently, just as long as they recognise her right to be the instrument of divine justice should they cause harm to others.
