The Keeper of Seventy Thousand Bees: Though it has the shape of a man, it is not a man, not even a living creature that stands before you. It is a walking and talking construct of bee magic powered by pollen and honey. In these troubling times, the bees have decided that they need an advocate who can carry out both peaceful diplomacy and precise murder. The wants of the bees are simple – they want their hives protected and flowers to harvest from. There is very little the keeper will not do in pursuit of these goals but it seems to draw a line at harming flowers. In addition to its physical presence, the keeper can call upon bee magics, the bees themselves and it has a network of green allies that seems to spread further than you might expect. Plot Hooks: #) The keeper is found in conflict with a city that refuses to respect the local wild meadows. #) The keeper arrives at a meeting of the great alliances and demands that it be allowed to take its rightful place as advocate for the Combined Hives, as per the charter – it has much demand and offer.


Jefro Kull: A beggar man, an orc man, a knife man, a bloodman. Jefro Kull is half imp – half orc who has clawed his way up from a street rat to a penthouse apartment filled with refined luxuries. He’s done this by doing whatever was asked of him, for the right price. But only exactly what was agreed, as Mr Kull knows both his worth and trouble of extra duties. There is pretty much nothing that he won’t do for a price but he insists on simple contracts and won’t cause needless pain. Amongst his refined possessions are a set of mastercraft equipment for intrusion, violence, and escape. He also has a substantial amount of coin which he will use begrudgingly if it’s his own and freely if he can charge back expenses. Plot Hooks: #) The party are hired to protect a witness in an organised crime case that JK has been hired to kill.
#) JK has been hired by the quest giver to assist the party. #) The party meets and gets to know JK through his love of luxuries and fine taste.
Major Silverwind: The 1st Neon Raiders were the premier shock troops of the Interstellar Empire, or so the news reports say. The news reports lied when they said the company had been wiped out during the invasion of Declama VII. The truth is that Major Silverwind and her soldiers were sent on a suicide mission for daring to ask for their dues and promises owed. The major, forewarned, got her company out of danger at the cost of an entire recon section. At first they worked to.get home but found imperial space closed to them Now they hop from rim planet to rim planet, doing mercenary work as guards and special forces for hire. Merc work has hardened an already elite force but they’ve been forced to take whatever work was offered to keep themselves fed and supplied. Silverwind has drawn the line at working with either the empire or the wood elves, as those traitors will only get what’s coming to them. The major has longer term plans than just soldiering for coin. Though the neon raiders are an elite force of cybernetically enhanced gorillas, they are just one company. If they want to make an attempt at returning home, enacting revenge, or staking a claim for a new community, they’re going to need more resources and personnel. Plot Hooks #) The neon raiders have turned up in the jungles of rim planet and the locals are worried. #) Major silver wind and fire team bravo 3 have entered a battle simulation competition that the party are also competing in. #) The party find themselves competing with the neon raiders in pursuit of a bounty.


Laesirus: A centaru deeply cursed by his deals with demons and must eat fresh heart of a sentient being each new moon to stave off the effects. The deals that cursed him gave him the power to win the War of Black Hooves but he was exiled from the centaur land once it became known just what Laesirus had become. Now thousands of leagues from home, Laesirus is on retainer at The Western Hook Magic Academy as a teacher and demon hunter. Though he plays pleasant in public, in the privacy of his lab he and his cult practice violence and sinister magics. Laesirus will have revenge on the demons who tricked him, he will have this curse removed, and he will show the centaur elders the folly of their ethics. His role at the academy provides him great leeway to pursue his “research” provided he meets his teaching requirements and keeps the community safe from demons. Thus he has been able to populate his lab with the desperate, the mad, the obsessed, and the outsiders who are tempted by the power Laesirus offers. The only limits Laesirus places is that there will be no dealing with demons and no self harm. Plot Hooks: #) Laesirus’ expertise on demons is needed by the party. #) There are unnatural shadows in the community from the magical backwash from Laesirus’ experiments.
Fire Pope: He calls him the Fire Pope but he leads no organised religion. He styles himself as His Ingniticas and he knows the secrets of fire. This knowledge extends beyond that common to those part fire elemental, as the Fire Pope clearly is. Through ill gotten learning, the Fire Pope has learnt how to excommunicate ignition from areas miles in diameter. Those that do not pay him homage and tribute will find their communities bereft of fire with no magical or mundane flames lighting without His Ingniticas permission. In fair weather this brings all industry and cooking to halt which is troublesome but is merely the warm up to the Fire Pope’s true threat – no heat in winter. Most will pay up before then and so the Fire Pope will move on, for he has more sense than to stick around those who he has so dearly threatened. His Ingniticas does not travel alone, as he has gathered around him a dedicated cult to whom he will share small snippets of his flame powers if they prove they are fanatical in their devotion to the Words of Flame. With each season the procession becomes larger and more extravagant as the Fire Pope spends his pay offs on ever finer caravans and luxuries. Plot Hooks: #) The party have been hired to get Farford’s tribute to the Fire Pope before the first frosts of winter. #) The Fire Pope has a need for experienced adventurers to guide his caravan through the Maze Canyons of Roy.


TimKarWer: The Ribbon Wars have dozens of peoples and cultures from their homes, turning tens of thousands into refugees and migrants. Amongst these are the WorRokKei, a culture of raiding nomads driven from their ancestral lands. TimKarWer leads the warband that has travelled onto the Vestern Steppe in search of glorious combat and fresh spoils. New to leadership, TimKarWer seeks to prove their valour and capabilities but is struggling with a culture utterly resistant to change, despite its displacement. Her people won’t fight the unworthy and won’t harm children but TimKarWer is trying to get her warband to move past their fear of fire and their opposition to magic. The locals of the Vestern Steppe use both to survive the harsh winters and protect their holdings. Thankfully the woolly rhino mounts of the WorRokKei have taken well to the steppe and are not lacking for forage. Plot Hooks: #) The party encounters a group of wounded WorRokKei scouts on the run from a failed raid. #) TimKarWer will heed guests’ hospitality traditions but her mind is on rumours of a leadership challenge and not the party’s requests.
