Fall of Ixion

Ixion is figure from the first days of mortals in Ancient Greek. He was the first to kill to a relative and break the sacred bond between a host and his guest. For this crime Zeus bond him to a fiery wheel for eternity. The story of Ixion takes places millennium before events in Age of Legends but a famous painting, The Fall of Ixion by Cornelis van Haarlem, became the backdrop to the section on mortals and death.
