Thanks to Chimera I will be hosting a 6d6 day at their Ripely store this Saturday (16th January 2010). There will be two session of 3.5 D&D, an all day miniature painting workshop and a demonstration of how figures are sculptured.
The figure painting workshop is in the hands of Mike, manager of Chimera’ Beeston store and an excellent figure painter. He kindly painted some of our miniatures for demonstration games and as you can see below, he knows a thing or two about painting. The workshop will be running day and we will have free figures for you to try your skills on.
The sculpting demonstration is by Rob, the mastermind behind all out figures. He will be showing the materials, tools and techniques needed to sculpt masters between 1pm and 3pm. We will be bringing along some of the actual moulds and examples of how the figures first look when they come out of the mould.
There will be two D&D sessions trying out a new introductory adventure called “Savage Island”. Not to give too much away but the party find themselves on a remote island with all sorts of interesting residents. I will be running sessions run from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Spaces are limited so please arrive early.
