#Twitterville – People of Power

#Twitterville is rapidly becoming a real place with a complicated power structure. One that could easily catch out the unwary adventure who finds themselves in the town. Between the Lords, the vigilantes, secret guilds and slavers, this is no place for the fainthearted.

  • The 1st Lord of #Twitterville is appointed to rule by the far off King. He sits proudly in his castle but all know he has little real power. – 6d6 Fireball
  • Undertaker Griggor takes care of the town graveyard…and the undead sleeping in them, he is the leader of the cult of Orcus. – Questing GM
  • Cloak and Dagger are the two mysterious nicknames given to the leaders of opposing thieves guilds in Longside Street. – QuestingGM
  • The Cloak runs the thieves guild for burglars, pickpockets, informants, blackmailers and others who use subtler thievery. – QuestingGM
  • The Dagger runs the guild for muggers, cut-throats, assassins and vandals who are more aggressive in their thievery. – QuestingGM
  • Stelez Darkfingers, owner of the Dark Room owns the slaving ring and deals with the Cloak to sells slaves to Underdark patrons – QuestingGM
  • The harbor is under control of Ricardo’s Boys. If you want your goods in the #Twitterville, you have to pay them. – Occult Searcher
  • Jailmaster Strednon runs the town jail and ‘negotiates’ the release of prisoners for a fee or valuable information. – QuestingGM

  • Captain Bekinson is trying to bust the thieves guilds of Longside Street and is planting agents into their network. – QuestingGM
  • Chauncellor Verdik is the real power behind the 1st Lord but in secret he reports and obeys a higher power. – QuestingGM
  • Claymont, the clerk of the courts, can make cases disappear for a price. He is often found in the Broken Sword tavern. – 6d6 Fireball
  • The Reaching Palm is a secret guild of double agent beggars that are the eyes and ears of the Longside Street guilds. – QuestingGM
  • Priestess Soval of the Lilithia Chruch leads social activities to help the poor and sick and raise funds by selling flowers. – QuestingGM
  • The Silver Balance Union, a group of merchants that acts as a lobby in the court of the First Lord to benefit their members. – QuestingGM
  • The Sword Brigade, an small group of vigilantes that bust petty crimes in town except in Longside Street. – QuestingGM
  • Undertaker Griggor takes care of the town graveyard…and the undead sleeping in them, he is the leader of the cult of Orcus. – QuestingGM
  • Silas Mencheque is a big man in the Silver Balance Union. He also owns many properties in Longside Street. – 6d6 Fireball
  • Hubert Mullen is the Chairman of the Traders’ Guild of #Twitterville. Some say he is corrupt, some say he is fair. – Occult Searcher
  • Lord Justice Avernose, half-brother to Vardik is the highest ranking judge in the town courthouse.- QuestingGM
  • Until his assassination, Humpty had sat daily on the castle wall watching the toils of his loyal serfs and household cavalry. – Rick Krebs (who wins the Charles Lutwidge Dodgson Prize)
  • Marshal Devermond is the commander of the First Lord’s personal guard and lieutenants of the town’s army. – QuestingGM
  • The Broken Sword Tavern is the secret headquarters of the Sword Brigade. – QuestingGM
  • The Dragon’s Rest is an inn, an exclusive clubhouse and adventurer’s guild. The owner is part of the Silver Balance Union. – QuestingGM
  • Mary Mullen, beloved wife of Hubert Mullen, will always put a good word in her husband’s ear for young men who flatter her. – 6d6 Fireball
  • Wizort, member of the Sword Brigade who captures wanted pirates from the town docks. – QuestingGM
  • Lord Twitterville’s aged mother sits beside him in council. She rarely speaks in public, but her sharp ears miss nothing. – Coffee Chit
  • Sophia, a local shopkeeper, knows everyone in town. Wondering where to find lute strings or henchmen or deadly poison, ask. – Coffee Chit

Thanks to everyone who contributed but special thanks must go to Questing GM who literally generates ideas four times faster than me. It takes me about an hour to think of a good idea and fit into the 140 characters of a tweet. In which Questing GM has normally produced four idea.
