Social Interactions

Sooner or later characters will be faced with a Non-Player Character (NPC - a person or creature controlled by the Game Leader) that they need to talk to. It might be a guard preventing them access to the Prince's court, an old professor who is reluctant to reveal all he knows, or first contact with an alien race. Whatever the situation, the NPC has something the characters want and they need to trick, bribe or negotiate it from them.

There are three different ways for a group to handle these social interactions: A purely subjective, role playing approach; A mechanical approach using the cards and dice; And a hybrid approach incorporating elements of both the other approaches. Groups should use the approach that fits best with their style of play.
