Outbreak! was written and produced using the 6d6 RPG: Online Tools (6d6:OLT).
The 6d6:OLT uses a wiki (a customised version of Dokuwiki) for easy and rapid text entry plus card creation, coupled with a PDF generator (MPDF) to create the final document.
Part of the 6d6:OLT, including this adventure and the 6d6 RPG rule sets, are accessible by the public. However only members can edit them. Members also have private areas where they can write and develop their own PDFs using the tools.
As of April 2011, membership is on an invitation only basis.
Lifetime Memberships will go on sale soon. Yearly, quarterly and monthly subscriptions will be available later.
Limitations
Inevitably, a system that typesets and generates PDFs automatically will lack the precision and fine polish of hand-crafted documents. This is most notable in the positioning of some of the page breaks.
This weakness is recognised and is a focus for our development efforts.
Living Document
This document will grow and change over time. Registered owners of this document will receive notification when new versions of the PDF are available download. The downloads are free of charge.
