Ogre, Family Head
The largest of goblinoid races, an adult male stands around 8' tall. The adults mate for life and most ogres are found in small family groups of parents and offspring. Unlike most other goblinoids, ogresses only give birth to one child at a time and the infant develops very slowly. It takes about 30 years for an ogre to reach full maturity. This slow breeding process and preference for small family groups leaves the ogres vulnerable despite their large size and fearsome nature. To combat this, ogre families often form symbiotic relationships with tribes of goblins or other goblinoids for mutual defence. Relations between the two groups can be complex and violent but an ogre family and a goblin tribe can coexist for many generations.
